Area Co-ordinators

Area Co-ordinators represent the local face of Latin Link in Britain and Ireland. They are friendly, helpful and want to get to know you! Their job is to raise the profile of Latin Link, tell people about the needs in Latin America and the opportunities for Christian service.

They are ready and willing to come to you. They are happy to discuss with church leaders and mission secretaries how Latin Link can help a church, or group of churches develop mission awareness, support and involvement. They can explain how and why Latin Link works with churches in Latin America - perhaps dispelling some misconceptions - and advise on things like putting together a Step team, or what makes a Strider. They can give a focus to what may only be a vague interest or free-floating fascination for Latin America through a project, or by introducing a Latin Link member on home leave. Or they may suggest a church 'twin' with another in Latin America for mutual encouragement and learning.

You can invite an Area Co-ordinator to speak at a mission event or church service, or ask for a presentation to a school or college - they will try to make sure that you get just the right person for your particular audience.

You may want to be in touch with a Latin America prayer and support group, or need some help with starting a new one. Or maybe you'd like some advice on organising a fundraising event in support of Latin Link?
